In this white paper, we have compiled a list of 8 challenges related to strong customer authentication (SCA). These challenges are shared throughout the industry regardless of company size or type of financial institution.

Since the introduction of the second Payment Service Directive (PSD2) and the corresponding RTS, there has been an increased focus on the security of the authentication process.

As many financial institutions have experienced, implementing SCA comes with quite a few challenges. They are spanning from limitations in the users' technical equipment to the implementation costs and the threat of hackers.
